This place is pretty amazing. You think it's a small clay studio but you keep going further and further back and can see how expansive the place is. The artists who throw here are really talented and I found a lot of unique gifts to bring home for christmas.
If you already know a bit about ceramics, you can reserve time for pretty cheap at the studio to do some work.
Highly recommend checking this place out. Theirs hours are somewhat strange so maybe make sure to call before making a trek out. But if you're already in the area, definitely stop by. -

So cute place! You can see who made what and colorful clays which devised by each person. I bought a ring holder and love it!
I can feel people's passion and how they love to make their clays.
So beautiful, neat, and awesome place here. I will recommend more friends to come visit. -

I worked here as director of studio and Ceramics teacher in the 80's and I was a close friend of Ruby's . She was an amazing person and friend of the ceramic arts . My husband and I took her out for pizza and beer every Friday night and enjoyed her stories very much . So glad that her pottery lives on ! Stop in for shows of contemporary ceramics or perhaps take a class there and make your own

I live in the neighborhood and have walked by this place many times but have never been inside. I was curious, so I entered and asked a simple, basic, polite question to the woman at the front desk. She looked at me like I had just announced I was from Mars. With the most disgusted expression possible on her face, she told me that she did not understand what I was asking. All I wanted was a basic explanation about what goes on here.
If you don't like interacting with the public, don't sit at the front desk, mean lady. And stop drinking vinegar! -

I don't know a lot about clay studios, but a friend of mine has been a member here for a while and I went to check out the holiday sale/show this season. There's quite a bit of great work here (and some... developing... work, or maybe just not to my taste), in a quaint storefront that just keeps going into a vast network of artist workspaces.
Pricing is a little unpredictable/all over the map because they're priced by each artist, rather than a gallery manager, but it means each artist has control over their work and I can respect that, even if it's a little less convenient as a customer.
They take credit cards, which I wasn't expecting for such a small place (but really appreciate!), and while I'm usually scared to knock something over in other galleries, I felt Ruby's layout was spacious enough to accommodate a lot of artwork without much danger of me breaking these one-of-a-kind items.
